Jill's unique writing style includes comedy, musical theatre (THE MOMMY DANCE is a 2-Act Musical with 9 original songs), drama (CRAZY LIKE ME), and some have a unique autobiographical performance art style (CONFESSIONS OF A PK). Her latest pieces include a comedy about a family dealing with interruptions at their mother's funeral service (SIMPLE MELODY), a farce-like piece about a woman balancing her world between two lovers, one French and one Dutch (THE FRENCHMAN AND THE DUTCHMAN, A LOVE STORY) and the above mentioned THE OLD WOMAN WHO LOST HER VOICE.
Jill teaches playwriting to her high school drama students at East Anchorage High School. She completed playwriting teaching studies in NYC at Young Playwrights Inc, after receiving a grant from the Alaska State Council on the Arts.
